Justin L. Yancey, D.O., MPH
Dr. Yancey brings the highest level of care to his patients with a strong focus on compassion, communication, and advanced healing. As a Memphis native, Dr. Yancey’s approach to renal care is informed by his desire to serve residents of his beloved hometown and the surrounding areas. He chose Nephrology as a specialty to help the most individuals manage chronic kidney disease while improving their long-term health and quality of life.
Dr. Yancey graduated from White Station High School in Memphis before earning a B.S. in Biological Sciences and B.A. in Psychology. While attending Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health, he worked with the Centers for Disease Control. He then served as Clinical Coordinator for the non-profit Georgia Lions Lighthouse Association directing clinics for uninsured patients throughout Georgia. He attended Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine residency at Magnolia Regional Health Center in 2018. He returned to Memphis and completed his Nephrology fellowship with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
With family still living in Memphis, Dr. Yancey’s roots in the area run deep. When he is not working, he enjoys traveling the world, watching movies, playing guitar, and rooting for the Memphis Grizzlies and Mizzou Tigers. He unwinds by spending time with family, friends, and his golden retriever Charlie.
