Dr. Deogaygay obtained her medical degree from University of the Philippines in Laguna, Philippines, in 1984. She completed an internal medicine residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York, and a fellowship in Nephrology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Deogaygay practiced internal medicine in Gulfport, Miss. from 1995 to 1998 before transitioning to Nephrology in 2000. She joined Mid-South Nephrology in 2001. She is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology. 

Dr. Deogaygay is fluent in Tagalog.
